NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan’s Tara Clemens and Gaby Johnson were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday. 

Clemens, a junior from Bloomington, Ill., and Bloomington High School (Physics major), won the 600-meter dash at the Illinois Wesleyan Triangular on Saturday, establishing a new school record with a time of 1:34.29. Her time was over a second faster than the previous school record (1:35.40), which was also held by Clemens.

Johnson, a senior from Knoxville, Iowa and Chariton High School (International Studies major), achieved a personal best in the high jump at the Illinois Wesleyan Triangular, finishing second with a height of 5-5. Her mark was second all time in Illinois Wesleyan history.
