Muszczynski, Tijanic named CCIW Men's Soccer Players of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Jake Muszczynski and Carthage’s Milan Tijanic were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Soccer Players of the Week Tuesday.

Muszczynski, a sophomore forward from Arlington Heights, Ill., and Rolling Meadows High School (History major), scored a first half hat trick in a 6-0 win over Millikin on October 1. It was the Cardinals’ biggest margin of victory in a CCIW game since an 8-1 win over Millikin in 1995. For the week, Muszczynski finished with four goals as North Central went 3-0-0.

Tijanic, a junior goalkeeper from Glenview, Ill., and Maine East High School (Exercise & Sport Science major), recorded four saves in goal for the Red Men during a 1-0 win over CCIW opponent Augustana on October 1. It was Tijanic’s fourth shutout of the season.
