North Central's Errico named CCIW Women's Basketball Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Jackie Errico was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday. 

Errico, a senior forward from Blue Island, Ill., and Marian Catholic High School, averaged 27.5 points and 12.5 rebounds during the week for the Cardinals. She scored a game-high 26 points in a 78-71 overtime loss against Elmhurst on Tuesday, finishing nine-of-19 from the floor and seven-of-eight from the free throw line to go along with a game-high 13 rebounds. Errico then scored a career-high 29 points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds in a 76-70 loss to Wheaton on Saturday. She ended the afternoon 11-of-19 from the field, sinking four three-pointers and finishing a perfect three-for-three from the charity stripe. Errico finished the week shooting 52.6 percent (20-for-38) from the floor and 90.9 percent (10-for-11) from the free throw line while dishing out two assists and grabbing 10 offensive rebounds. She is an Exercise Science major.
