Conference teams rank high in NCAA WINTER SPORTS

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin is enjoying national success in three winter sports, according to the NCAA Division III national rankings. In wrestling three league schools are ranked in the top 30 of the January 17 Brute/Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association poll. Elmhurst had risen to 12th, North Central was 22nd and defending CCIW champion Augustana was 29th. In women’s basketball Millikin holds down the sixth spot in the D3hoops.com poll while Wheaton is 39th. The men’s ranking by D3hoops.com has Illinois Wesleyan at second, Wheaton at 14th and North Central checks in at 26th.
