Reeverts, Festin Earn Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin named Erin Reeverts of Augustana and Ashley Festin of North Central Volleyball Players of the Week Tuesday after their performances over the past week of competition.

Reeverts, a sophomore from Davis Junction, Ill., helped Augustana to a 3-0 record last week, beating North Park 3-1 (30-21, 30-16, 23-30, 30-17) in CCIW action on Friday, October 7, and then beating North Park 3-0 (30-27; 30-23; 30-21) and Dominican 3-0 (30-28; 30-19; 30-25) in non-conference action to move to 12-10 on the season.In three matches, Reeverts had 41 kills while playing 10 games (4.10 kills per game) with just nine errors in 84 attempts for a .381 hitting percentage. She had eight digs, four block solos and six assisted blocks.

Festin, a freshman from Lemont, Ill., totaled 13 aces and 102 digs (5.37/game) in five games for the Cardinals this past week. The libero had a season-high 30 digs and six aces in a 3-2 loss to Marian College (Wis.) at the UW-Oshkosh Tournament. She also had a .985 serve-receive percentage, with 131 attempts and only two errors. Festin was named to the all-tournament team at UW-Oshkosh.
