Pairings Set for Volleyball Play-In Round

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – With the conclusion of conference play on Wednesday night, the eight-team play-in round is set for Tuesday, Nov. 1 to determine who will take part in next week’s CCIW Volleyball Tournament.

No. 8 seed North Park will travel to No. 1 seed Carthage, while No. 7 seed North Central plays at No. 2 seed Millikin. No. 3 Elmhurst hosts No. 6 Illinois Wesleyan, while No. 5 Augustana travels to No. 4 Wheaton. All matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.

The highest remaining seed from the play-in date will host the single elimination tournament with matches at 4:30 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4. The championship game will take place on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.

On Friday, the winner of the No. 1 vs. No. 8 match plays the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 match, while the winner of the No. 2 vs. No. 7 match will play the winner of the No. 3 vs. No. 6 match. The conference tournament winner will earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
