All-Conference Volleyball Team Announced

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The 2005 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin All-Conference Volleyball Team was announced by the conference office Monday as Carthage, Elmhurst and Millikin each had four members named to the team.

Lindsay Johnson of Elmhurst took home player of the year honors, while Mariya Land of Carthage earned the newcomer of the year award. Julie Hall of Elmhurst was named coach of the year.

Carthage, Elmhurst, Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan each had a member on the first team as Johnson and Nicole Carlson from Elmhurst were voted onto the team by the CCIW volleyball coaches. Carthage’s Jori Simmons and Kelly Bauer also made first team honors, along with Katie Crumley and Jamie Florey of Millikin and Molly May of Illinois Wesleyan.

Second team honors went to Mallory Sullivan and Annie Himmelhaver of Wheaton, Carly Bearwald of Elmhurst, Land, Rachel Cook of Millikin, Jenna Passananti of Illinois Wesleyan and Erin Reeverts of Augustana.

Erin Whitehead of Elmhurst, Jeanna Dalton of Augustana, Emily Cahoon of Carthage, Ashley Festin of North Central, Hannah McGinnis of Wheaton, Kate Schnake of Millikin and Nicole Walsh of Illinois Wesleyan were named honorable mention.
