For the 2003 season the league coaches have bestowed the top spot to the Bluejays with 47 total points, including five first place votes. Carthage, which finished second last year with a 25-13 overall mark and a 5-2 record in the CCIW, was a narrow second place selection with 45 points and three first place votes. Illinois Wesleyan (23-15 & 3-4) narrowly edged Millikin (22-15 & 5-2) for third place with the Titans picking up 31 points and the Big Blue 30. Augustana (24-17 & 3-4) was in fifth place with 26 points while Wheaton (23-18 & 3-4) had 23 points for sixth place. North Central (12-28 & 2-5) scored 14 points in seventh and North Park (11-27 & 0-7) had eight points in eighth place.
Voting is done by the volleyball coaches in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin.Each coach votes for the seven other schools in the league in order of predicted finish.Points are assigned in reverse order of voting (seven points for first, six for second, etc.).Coaches may not vote for her own team.
