2003 VOLLEYBALL "PLAYER OF THE WEEK"

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois - Megan O'Connor of North Central and Shelley Schriner of Carthage have been selected as co-winners of the "Player of the Week" in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin for the week ending on November 1.

O'Connor had her best game of the season in a 3-2 win over North Park last week with 17 kills, 18 digs and six blocks. During a weekend tournament at Wheaton , she had 18 kills, three blocks and two aces in only two games.

Schriner hit .261 (11 kills, five errors, 23 attempts) in a 3-0 win over Lawrence on October 1. She followed that with a six kill, one error in 18 attempt effort in a victory over Waldorf on November 1. She closed her week by hitting .536 (16-1-28) in a 3-1 triumph over Clarke, also on November 1.
