wheaton's worsowicz Named CCIW women's tennis Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wheaton's Elizabeth Worsowicz was named women's tennis player of the week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Wednesday after her performance last week.
Worsowicz, a freshman from Columbia, Mo., and Rock Bridge High School, went undefeated in both singles and doubles this past week while playing No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. Worsowicz defeated Carthage's Gina Klein 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 on September 29, North Central's Alicia DeGrado 6-1, 6-0 on October 1, and Wisconsin-Whitewater's Ingrid Stensvaag 6-3, 6-0 on October 4.
In doubles play, Worsowicz teamed up with Jordan Hook to defeat Carthage's Klein and Taylor Gustafson 8-4, North Central's Allison Paschold and Cory Schillerstrom 8-1, and Wisconsin-Whitewater's Amy Siemon and Kalla Schaefer 8-2.
