Elmhurst’s Hennessey Named CCIW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Elmhurst’s Lauren Hennessey was named women’s tennis player of the week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Tuesday after her performance during competition the past weekend.

Hennessey, a freshman from Lombard, Ill., and Glenbard East High School, went 3-0 this weekend against Millikin and Illinois Wesleyan. She teamed up with Kristin Leninger to win at No. 3 doubles against Millikin (8-5). Later that day, she won at No. 6 singles (6-0, 6-0) and No. 3 doubles (8-2) against Illinois Wesleyan.
