Illinois wesleyan's Heim, Carthage's gustafson named cciw women's tennis players of the week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan's Allison Heim and Carthage's Taylor Gustafson were named women's tennis players of the week in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Thursday after their performances during the previous week of competition.

Gustafson, a junior from Riverwoods, Ill., and Deerfield High School, won all four of her matches against Illinois Wesleyan and UW-Whitewater this past Saturday. Gustafson played No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles in both matches.

Heim, a junior from Decatur, Ill., and Mt. Zion High School, playing No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles this past weekend, won both of her singles matches against Carthage and UW-Whitewater.

Note: The CCIW women's tennis player of the week will be announced every Tuesday all the way up to the CCIW Women's Tennis Championship Oct. 5-6.
