CCIW Women's Tennis

CCIW Women's tennis all-conference team announced

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its all-conference team in women's tennis Tuesday as Wheaton led the way with five players, while Carthage had four players earn a spot on the team.

In addition, Wheaton's Karly Olson won conference tournament MVP after her performance earned the Thunder the CCIW title during the conference championships a week ago. No. 1 singles champion Jordan Hook of Wheaton earned player of the year honors while Thunder head coach Jane Nelson took home player of the year honors.

Hook and Olson were named to the first team, while Carthage's Amanda Sta. Romana and Kristin Minkowski and Illinois Wesleyan's Allison Heim joined Hook and Olson on the first team.

Gina Klein of Carthage made the second team along with Wheaton's Shannon Hale, Brooke Parrish and Brittney Dunn. Augustana's Megan DeShon and Illinois Wesleyan's Sandy Tobik were also placed on the second team.
