Wheaton, Illinois Wesleyan and Augustana Earn NCAA Women’s Soccer Bids

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The NCAA announced its pairings for the 60-team women’s soccer tournament on Monday and the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin will have three teams competing for a chance at a national title.

Wheaton, the defending national champion who compiled a record of 19-2 during the regular season, won the automatic qualifier with a 7-0 conference record and will host Webster at 5 p.m.on Nov. 11. The Thunder come into the tournament with a 15-game winning streak, which started on September 23 in a 1-0 conference win over Augustana.

Illinois Wesleyan (13-6-1) and Augustana (15-4) each earned one of the 19 at-large bids. The Titans will face Loras College at the University of Chicago at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, while the Vikings play UW-Eau Claire at Wheaton at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11. The winner of the Augustana/UW-Eau Claire game will play the winner of the Wheaton/Webster game on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.
