CCIW women's Soccer
two women's soccer players named all-americans by the nscaa
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's soccer players were recently named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Adidas Division III All-America Team.
Wheaton senior Bethany Barton (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) was named to the first team after earning second team honors in 2006. She was also named Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season after helping to lead the Thunder to its second straight national title.
Barton's teammate, sophomore forward Taryne Lee (St. Charles, Ill./Wheaton Academy), was also named to the first team after being named the 2007 CCIW Most Outstanding Player. This is her first selection as an all-American after scoring a school record 27 goals this season while adding nine assists.
