CCIW Names Eriksson, Peterson Soccer Players of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – PJ Eriksson of North Park and Jacqueline Peterson of Carthage were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s & Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the past week of competition.

Eriksson, a sophomore from Sweden, scored the first and third goal in North Park’s 3-0 win over Elmhurst, giving North Park the No. 1 seed in the CCIW Men’s Soccer Tournament. On Saturday, in a non-conference match-up with Lake Forest, he scored the first goal and assisted on the second as North Park went on to win 2-0, giving them their 4th straight win and improving to a 9-6-1 record.

Peterson, a freshman from Schaumburg, Ill., also helped her team’s tournament status. She scored the lone goal against Illinois Wesleyan as the Lady Reds blanked the Titans, 1-0, on Oct. 29 to secure the fourth seed in the CCIW Women’s Soccer Tournament.
