Davenport, Frank Earn CCIW Soccer Player of the Week Honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Eric Davenport of Elmhurst and Abbie Frank of North Park were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s & Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the past week of competition.

Davenport, a freshman from Homewood, Ill., scored a pair of game-winning goals in the Bluejays’ two CCIW wins last week. Davenport scored in the 66th minute of the Bluejays’ 2-1 win at Carthage on Oct. 12, and added the game-winning goal in overtime in Elmhurst’s 1-0 win over Millikin on Oct. 15.

Frank, a senior from Shoreview, Minn., tucked away the game winning goal in the 17th minute to ensure a 1-0 victory over North Central on Oct. 12. It was her ninth goal on the year. Frank also has six assists during the 2005 season.
