Eriksson, Hodina Earn CCIW Soccer Player of the Week Honors
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – P.J. Eriksson of North Park and Erin Hodina of Wheaton were named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s & Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for their performances during the past week of competition.
Eriksson, a sophmore from Sweden, was instrumental in the Vikings’ two wins over CCIW opponents last week. He created and assisted on the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Wheaton on Oct. 5, and also scored one goal and assisted on another in a 3-1 win at Carthage on Oct. 8.
Hodina, a freshman from Wheaton, Ill., scored five goals to help lead the Thunder to a 3-0 record last week. Hodina recorded a hat trick as she scored all three of Wheaton’s second half goals in a 6-0 win at Elmhurst on Oct. 5. She scored a goal in Wheaton’s 4-0 win at Aurora on Oct. 3 and put one in the back of the net in a 5-2 victory on Oct. 7 against UW-Stevens Point.
