North Park, the defending College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin men's soccer champion, comes into the 2005 tournament with the No. 1 seed after a 3-0 victory over Elmhurst on Oct. 27 gave the Vikings the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Wheaton earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last season based on conference points, advancing to the second round.
