NSCAA Honors Wheaton Soccer in Pre-Season Poll

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently released its NSCAA/Adidas pre-season poll Tuesday, and both the Wheaton men’s and women’s soccer teams made the top 25 with the women earning the top spot, while the men placed 23rd.

The Thunder women, who finished 25-1-0 in 2004, is the defending NCAA Division III national champion, while the men finished 18-5-0 last season en route to a spot in the Division III playoffs.

The CCIW soccer season begins Aug. 27 with both the Illinois Wesleyan men and women taking on DePauw in Greencastle, Ind.
