Carthage, Wheaton earn ncaa men's soccer tournament berths

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will have two men's soccer teams representing the conference at the NCAA Tournament this season.

CCIW Tournament champion Wheaton and CCIW regular season champion Carthage will continue its seasons at the national level as Wheaton earned the CCIW's automatic bid while Carthage is an at-large selection to the field of 57.

Wheaton, 13-6-1 this season (4-3-0 in the CCIW), will host Carroll (14-5-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 7 in a first round match-up. The winner travels to Loras (20-0-1) who earned a first round bye.

Carthage 14-5-2 this season (7-0-0 in the CCIW), will face Washington University in a first round match-up on Saturday, Nov. 10 in Whitewater, Wis.
