BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Behind a two-day score of 150 by Illinois Wesleyan’s Taylor Paskell, including a one-under 71 on the final day, the Titans captured their fifth straight CCIW women’s golf title Saturday at Prairie Vista Golf Course.

Paskell earned medalist honors for the tournament, the second time in three years she has done so. Illinois Welseyan finished with a two-day score of 644 to not only win the conference title, but earn the CCIW’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in the spring.

Augustana (681), Millikin (696), Wheaton (704), Carthage (715), North Central (755) and North Park (847) rounded out the team scoring.

In addition to Paskell, the Titans also had three golfers finish in the top 10, including Kristi Katz (85+79=164) and Alison Mayer (86+78=164) finishing tied for third, and last year’s individual champion Andrea Johanns (83+83=166), who finished tied for fifth with Augustana’s Danielle Detelich (78+88=166).

Millikin’s Lydia Lindemann placed second with a score of 161 (79+82), while Wheaton’s Brittany Bronson placed seventh (84+83=167). Abigail Johnson of Augustana finished eighth (86+82=168), while teammate Rachel Gahn was ninth (85+85=170).
