IWU’s Niepagen Named Women’s Golf Coach of the Year

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan women’s golf coach Kathy Niepagen was the recipient of the CCIW Women’s Golf Coach of the Year award Tuesday after the Titans won the conference championship for the fifth straight time over the weekend at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington, Ill.

Illinois Wesleyan captured the championship by winning with a two-day score of 644 as the Titans’ Taylor Paskell won medalist honors for the second time in her career with a two-day score of 150.

Paskell also took home all-conference honors with her performance along with teammates Kristi Katz, Allison Mayer and Andrea Johanns. Millikin’s Lydia Lindemann, North Central’s Elizabeth Zaske, Wheaton's Brittany Bronson, Carthage’s Shanna Agner and Augustana’s Danielle Detelich, Abigail Johnson and Rachel Gahn all earned all-conference accolades by placing in the top 10 over the weekend.
