D3Football.com Announces All-America Team

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Six student-athletes from three different College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin schools were named to the 2005 D3Football.com All-America Team over the weekend, including one on the first team, two on the second team, one on the third team and two honorable mention.

Senior cornerback Tom Anthony from Augustana led the way on the first team after winning defensive player of the year honors in the CCIW this season. Anthony picked off 13 passes in 12 games in 2005.

Senior offensive lineman Mike Zeifert (Augustana) and senior linebacker Lenny Radtke (North Central) earned second team honors after leading their respective teams to the NCAA Division III Playoffs during the past year. Both Zeifert and Radtke were recently named to the American Football Coaches Association All-America Team.

Making the third team was senior wide receiver Tyke Spencer (North Central), while senior defensive back Travis Shea (Augustana) and senior tight end Andy Brogan (Elmhurst) were named honorable mention.
