CCIW Football Holds Top Non-Conference Winning Percentage

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin football teams have done a lot of winning over the last four weeks, compiling a non-conference record of 21-3 for a winning percentage of .875.

During the pre-season, D3football.com voted the CCIW as the fifth-best Division III conference for football. Today, the CCIW holds the nation’s top winning percentage according to the website, with six teams holding identical 3-0 records including Carthage, Elmhurst, Millikin, North Central, North Park and Wheaton. Augustana sits at 2-1 after four weeks, while Illinois Wesleyan is 1-2 after a 20-13 win over University of Chicago last Saturday.

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, voted as the No. 1 ranked football conference by D3football.com, has the 11th best winning percentage in the nation at .591.

CCIW football begins conference play on Saturday, October 1 as North Park travels to Augustana, while Millikin plays host to Carthage. Elmhurst is at home against Illinois Wesleyan, while Wheaton travels to North Central.
