2004 CCIW FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

ROCK ISLAND, Illinois – Quarterback Jeremy Chupp of Wheaton was named the CCIW offensive "Player of the Week" honor while defensive back Brett Barnes of Carthage earned defensive "Player of the Week" for the games of October 23.

Chupp spearheaded a 42-25 victory over Illinois Wesleyan with two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. He completed 21 of 31 passes for 319 yards and he also ran for a seven yard score.

Barnes intercepted three passes in Carthage’s 13-10 victory at North Park. He returned one of those interceptions for the go-ahead touchdown and his third pick ended the Vikings final drive. For good measure Barnes broke up three passes.
