Four CCIW Schools Earn Spot on Don Hansen’s Top 40

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette recently announced it’s top 40 pre-season poll, and four College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin teams have earned a spot on the list.

North Central, coming off a 7-3 season in 2004, was the highest ranked CCIW school at No. 11, while Carthage, 11-2 last season, was No. 16. Wheaton (10-2) and Augustana (7-3) were also part of the pre-season poll, earning rankings No. 29 and 30 respectively.

Wheaton and Carthage each qualified for the NCAA Division III playoffs last season with Carthage qualifying for a spot in the quarterfinals.
