Outlook
The Wheaton Thunder will be going for its second straight women's title and seventh overall since the CCIW began sponsoring women's cross country in 1986. Wheaton won with 39 points in 2004.

On the men's side, North Central has won 31 straight conference championships dating back to 1974. The Cardinals were second in the nation last season and have won 12 national championships, with the last one coming in 1999.

Augustana men's coach Paul Olsen and North Central men's coach Al Carius began coaching cross country in the CCIW in 1966 and will take part in their 40th championship.
