Men's Cross Country
NORTH CENTRAL PLACES SECOND IN NCAA NATIONAL MEET
COLFAX, Wisconsin - North Central continued its tradition of excellence in men's cross country with a second place finish in the 2004 NCAA Division III national meet, which was hosted by Wisconsin-Eau Claire at Whitetail Golf Course in Colfax, Wisconsin on November 20. Calvin won the team title with 107 points while the Cardinals of veteran head coach Al Carius scored 137 points in second. Wisconsin-LaCrosse was third with 148. Pat Rizzo led the way for North Central with a 10th place individual finish in a time of 24:56 over the 8000 meter course. David Johnson took 16th in 25:09 and both Rizzo and Johnson earned All-American honors. Other members of the Cardinal contingent were Chris Bosworth (49th in 25:29), Nick Hird (62nd in 25:37), Andy Enright (73rd in 25:43), Dan Rodriguez (105th in 26:03) and Andy Hubner (124th in 26:14).
